Paula Tejeda and Lucas Carrizo grew up in Catamarca, Argentina, where their love of tango began in their teenage years. As both partners in dance and in life, they later moved to Buenos Aires to follow their shared dream of a professional tango career.
Their dedication quickly brought recognition. In 2010 they won the Metropolitan Tango Championship in the Tango category and were runners-up in Vals, marking an important milestone in their rise within the tango world.
Paula and Lucas have also performed with Miguel Ángel Zotto’s acclaimed stage production TangoX2, touring throughout Italy and Greece. Over the years they have built an international reputation, sharing their artistry through performances and workshops across China, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, the United States, Canada and many other parts of the world.
They are performing at the Moonlight Tango Festival in Brisbane in September 2026
