Poema Tango Festival invites dancers of all levels to experience the warmth, connection, and joy of Argentine tango in a welcoming and inclusive setting.
Designed as more than just a dance event, the festival focuses on connection, inspiration, and shared experience rather than performance or perfection. The program includes five milongas and four workshops, offering opportunities to learn, observe, rest, and enjoy at a comfortable pace—whether attending a single event or the full weekend.
Dancers from across Australia and beyond come together, creating a vibrant sense of community and the chance to connect with the wider tango family close to home. With a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, participants are encouraged to dance as much or as little as they wish, meet new people, and reconnect with familiar faces.
Poema Tango Festival is a celebration of tango in all its forms, where even a single memorable tanda can make the experience truly special—and where everyone already belongs.
