The Moonlight Tango Festival returns from 15–20 September 2026 at Brisbane City Hall, offering an inspiring celebration of Argentine tango in one of the city’s most iconic venues.
Across six days, the festival brings together dancers from around the world for a rich program featuring 24 hours of milongas, live music, and 24 hours of workshops led by leading international tango teachers. Highlights include four gala milongas, a Prosecco Reception with live music and special guests, and performances by renowned maestros.
Featured artists include Sabina Masso and Federico Naveira, Paula Tajeda and Lucas Carrizo, Amelia Rambe and Matthew Ferrol, Rina and Nadim Sawaya, Barrio Norte, and Fabio Robles.
Run entirely by volunteers, the festival is a not-for-profit initiative dedicated to growing the tango community through high-quality cultural events. All proceeds support charitable causes, including Parkinson’s QLD, ensuring the festival remains accessible and community-focused.
