Hobart Tango Encuentro takes place from 30 October to 1 November 2026 in Hobart, bringing together Argentine tango dancers from across Australia and beyond for a warm and social weekend of dancing and connection.
The festival opens on Friday 30 October at 7:00 pm with a Welcoming Milonga at the Polish Club, offering a relaxed and friendly start where dancers can meet and connect.
On Saturday 31 October at 7:00 pm, the Gala Night at Hobart Town Hall provides an elegant evening of social dancing, camaraderie, and music from talented DJs.
Sunday 1 November continues with a Matinee Milonga at 1:00 pm at the Polish Club, creating a relaxed atmosphere for dancers to build connections and enjoy the social spirit of tango following workshops.
The weekend concludes with the Twilight Milonga at 7:00 pm at the Polish Club, offering a final opportunity to share the dance floor with local and visiting dancers and celebrate the close of a memorable tango gathering.
