From the new generation of tango dancers in Buenos Aires, Rodrigo Palacios and Agustina Berenstein, are among the most popular young tango teachers to visit Australian shores. In Buenos Aires, they teach at Salon Canning and at Julio Balmaceda and Corina de la Rosa’s Studio Zarasa. They were featured maestros at 2009's CITA World Tango Congress.
Rodrigo and Agustina have performed and taught in Chile, Brazil, throughout Europe and Japan. They performed in the French documentary “Cite Tango” and danced and choreographed in the show “La Danza de El Zahir” in Japan. We started to dance tango because it connected us whit our roots, family and tradition. It was present in our childhood

Since we have been teaching tango we have visited many places discovering many cultures, meeting new and interesting people, and learning a lot from the students.
Our favorite tango orchestras are Di Sarli, D'Arienzo, Pugliese, Biagi and Francini Pontier.
Tango beginners need to understand tango is not just a dance, it's the culture of a country and how people live day to day .

When we go to a milonga we like it when people respect some rules of the milonga, for example, respect the other couples, and especially to maintain the tradition of "el cabeceo" that gives women more freedom to choose who wants to dance with.
In the workshops we will focus on our technique, we will make accessible complex movements, we will show the origin of the movement and the possibilities for resolution.
